Is
it safe?
In a word yes, like most things there are horror stories but most people
incorrectly believe the internet stole their credit card details. Where in fact
they have most likely entered there details into a fake or spoof website having
followed a link from a fake email otherwise known as a "phising" (pronounced
fishing) email.
The
best way to do it?
Personally I use Top Cash Back, a site that gives you money back for buying
things online you would do anyway.
How does it all work?
Many websites pay commission to other websites for “driving traffic” to their
site. This means if you use for example a price comparison site to find the
cheapest item you want click on the convenient link they provide and purchase
the item the price comparison site is paid by the vendor.
The difference with top cash back
Instead of the price comparison site getting a commission on your sale, if you
go via top cash back and use there links top cash back get the commission and
pass 100% of that onto you i.e. you get paid.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t a catch. However many of the people I have signed up have complained
about the amount of time it takes to get paid. A fair point, It does take a
while before the cash back is payable into your back, this is because of the
process involved (see below).
What is the process involved?
After you complete your purchase top cash back submits the details of your
purchase or action completed to incur the cash back, (this appears in the
pending section of your account). Vendors should (provided you haven’t returned
the goods, and did pay for them) confirm the cash back is owed. (This will show
in the confirmed column). After the vendor pays the cash back to Top Cash Back,
it will appear in the payable column and you can actually get paid.
